This adorable chipboard bank decorated with MacKenzie's smiling, cuddly characters, not only makes a sweet gift, but is fun to personalize by adding a photo of the child who’ll receive the gift. Supplies:
2 sheet AG1168 Orange Bandanna
1 sheet AG1170 Circles
1 sheet AG1171 Blue Paisley
1 sheet AG1175 Pink Children
5 pieces 4" x 4" chipboard
1 piece 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" chipboard
1 piece 3 3/4" x 3 3/4" chipboard
1 sheet DE706 Mackenzie 3D Stickers
Tools: Craft knife and mat A MUST! Ruler, Scoring tool, Pencil, Adhesive, Foam adhesive, Glue, Tape

Important note: AG1175 pink children fits exactly on one sheet. Please carefully trace pieces before cutting. Thank you.
Step 1
Cover one side of all five 4" x 4" pieces of chipboard with 4" x 4" pieces of AG1168 Orange Bandanna. These will be the inside of the bank.
Step 2
To assemble the box, glue four pieces together in a square to make the sides of the box. Reinforce these seams with tape on the bare outside of the chipboard as you glue them to make sure that the pieces are supported while you work on the bank. Adhere the last piece of 4" x 4" chipboard to the bottom of the box using glue and supporting tape.
Step 3
Cut a 6" x 6" piece of AG1171 Blue Paisley. Cover the bottom of the bank with this paper by adhering the bottom of the box to the center of the paper.
On two opposite sides of the extra paper, use your ruler and knife to cut flaps at each corner; these lines will extend from the corner of the box to the edge of the paper and parallel to the side of the paper. This will make two tabs which will fold around the sides of the box when that side of the paper is folded up
Fold up these two opposite sides and adhere them and their tabs to the box. Adhere the remaining shorter side flaps to the other sides of the box.
Step 4

Cut two 2" x 12" pieces of AG1175 Pink Children.
Measure 1" up on the short side of the strips and score the paper lengthwise.
Adhere these pieces around the top of the box, so that the score is right along the top edge of the box.
Remove any extra paper. Use scissors to make cuts from the top of the paper down to each corner of the box. Now adhere and fold the sides down and into the box.
 
Step 5

Place the 4 1/4" x 4 1/4" piece of chipboard on the table in front of you. Turn the box upside down onto this piece and use a pencil to trace the outline of the box onto the lid. This will make a lid that fits your box exactly. Remove the excess chipboard.

Step 6
About 1" from one edge of the lid piece, measure a rectangle 1 1/2" x 1/4" – this will be the coin slot.
(Mouse over image to zoom. )		 Cut out the inside of the rectangle.The slot side will become the front of the box.
Step 7
Cut a 6" x 6" piece of AG1175 Pink Children. Adhere this to the lid of the box to cover it. Remove the corners of the paper.
Fold the remaining edges of the papers around to the underside of the lid. Cut away the paper that covers the opening.
Step 8

Cut a 2" x 6" piece of AG1171 Blue Paisley. Adhere it to the top of the lid and wrap it around like a band, parallel to the opening. Adhere the edges under the lid.
Step 9
Cut two 3 7/8" x 4" pieces of AG1175 Pink Children Glue them back to back. Fold the hinge in half This piece will become the lid's hinge.
Adhere the top half of the hinge to the underside of the lid.  
 
Step 10
Hold this piece under the lid and mark the opening of the lid. Cut away the inside of the opening. Cut a 5" x 5" piece of AG1168 Orange Bandanna. Adhere this to the smallest piece of chipboard. Remove the corners of the paper.
Fold the remaining edges of the papers around to the underside of the lid. Mark and cut out the opening in the paper. Adhere this piece to the underside of the lid, matching the openings. This piece will make the lid fit more securely when the box is closed.
Step 11

Glue the hinge to the back side of the box.
Step 12

Cut two 3 3/4" x 12" pieces of AG1170 Circles. Trim the edges with decorative scissors.

Adhere these pieces around the center of the sides of the box. Remove any excess.
Cut two 1/2" x 12" pieces of AG1168 Orange Bandanna. Adhere these pieces around the center of the sides of the box. Remove any excess.
Step 13

Cut two 3" x 3" pieces of AG1168 Orange Bandanna. To cut one into a frame shape, mark lines 1/2" in from each side on the reverse of the paper. Remove the center 2" square of the paper.

Adhere this frame to the 3" x 3" square with foam adhesive. Adhere this frame to the front of the bank with foam adhesive
Adhere dimensional stickers to the remaining sides of the bank and add the owl to the top of the bank.
