Grace's Garden
Class #405 Left
page
Use a sheet of AG1061 Blue Floral
as the background
for the page.
Cut a 10" x 12" piece of
AG1065 Burgundy
Floral and
an 11 1/2" x 7 1/2" piece
of AG1060
Ivory Pattern.
Center the
Ivory Pattern
onto the
Burgundy
Floral. [We
moved the
Ivory over
to the right
in order
to leave
enough room
when adding
the photo
mat.] Attach
the Burgundy
Floral onto
the Blue
Floral background
sheet; place
it 1"
from the
right hand
side of the
page.
Cut a 3 1/2" x 12" piece
of AG1055 Floral Stripes, centering the blue stripe
in the middle of the strip. To make this come out
evenly, you will have to cut the middle stripe from
the patterned paper, but you'll use the rest of the
paper later. Attach this strip to the main page,
placing it 3/4" from the left side of the page. |
Adhere the folded mini-album
onto the
center of
the blue
striped band
on your page.
Pencil in
marks about
1 1/4" long
on either
side of the
mini-album.
Make slits
through all
the layers
of paper
where you
marked it.
Cut 12" of
green ribbon.
[First cut
the eight
3" pieces
for the ribbon
corners on
the right
page. Whatever is left, use for your mini
journal.
We had 11.5" left.] Thread the
ribbon down through
one slit
and up through
the other.
Tie the ribbon
over the
mini-album
in a loose knot.
[Alternative: Attach the ribbon to the back of
the album,
tie around
front, and
adhere to
page.]
Cut two, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" pieces
of AG1060 Ivory Pattern.
Mat these with two pieces
of AG1065 Burgundy Floral.
[Cut AG1065 into two
pieces 2.75X3.75.] Attach
them vertically to the
page above and below
the mini-album.
To make the photo
mat, cut a 5" x 7"
piece of the AG1061 Blue Floral paper. [Cut a 5"X12" piece
first.
Then cut your 7" piece Save the 7"X12" piece
for the card. Otherwise you will not have the right size
piece for the card.] Place
it on the Ivory Patterned paper as shown. |
To make the journaling
block, cut a
3 3/4" x 2" piece
of ivory cardstock. Mat this piece with a 4" x 2 1/4" piece
of AG1055 Floral
Stripes. (Use one
of the leftover sides from the earlier trimming.)
Attach this to the page as shown.

Coming Up Roses
Class #405
Right page.
Use a sheet of AG1061 Blue Floral
as the background for the page. Cut an 8" x 11 1/2" piece of AG1060
Ivory Pattern. Adhere it to the background page,
1/2" [1/4" seams to work better] from the left side.
| Cut a 1/2" x 12" strip
of AG1065 Burgundy Floral and a 2 1/4" x 12" piece
from the leftover AG1055 Floral Stripes. [With the
blue ribbon centered.] |
Adhere the 1/2" piece of AG1065 Burgundy Floral to
the left of the Floral Stripes piece. [We added the
1/2" piece of AG1065 first.] |
Adhere the Floral Stripes
piece to the main page, 3/4" in from the right side. |
| To make the photo mats,
cut two, 4 1/2"
x 6 1/2" pieces of AG1055 Floral Stripes. Apply adhesive to each
corner of the mats, but do not adhere them yet. |
| To make the ribbon photo corners,
cut the remaining green ribbon into eight, 3" pieces. |
Hold a piece of ribbon on the front
of the photo mat so that it covers the corner evenly. |
Fold the ends of the ribbon back
neatly behind the mat, so the ends will be stuck
into the adhesive you've already positioned. Repeat
this for the other corners. |
| Cut two, 5" x 7" pieces
of AG1061 Blue Floral. Attach the Floral Stripes
mats with ribbon corners to these pieces. Position
them onto the page. |

Coming Up Roses
Class #405
Card
Cut a 9" x 6 1/4" piece
of ivory cardstock. Score and fold the paper in half
to make a 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" card. Cover the card with
a piece of AG1065 Burgundy Floral. |
Cut a 3" x 6 1/4" piece
of AG1061 Blue Floral. Apply it to the center front
of the card. |
| Cut two, 1/4" x 6 1/4" pieces of
AG1055 Floral Stripes. Be sure that you use pieces
from the ivory bands of the pattern. |
Attach these pieces on
either side of the AG1061 Blue Floral. [We cut strips
of AG1055 from the blue ribbon section to bring in
the blue color.] |
Cut a 2 1/4" x 2 3/4" piece of ivory
cardstock. Adhere it to the front of the card. |
| To make the ribbon flowers, cut the burgundy ribbon
into 4" sections. Each section of ribbon will be folded
and adhered so that the ends meet in the center back
of the ribbon. |
Once you have made all of the ribbon into these folded
sections, use three for each flower. Layer the pieces
so that they don't overlap at the ends, making a more
fun and dimensional flower. |
Adhere the centers of the ribbon strips together.
Use foam adhesive to adhere a brad to the center of
each flower. Attach the flowers to the card with foam
adhesive. [We used glue dots and pop dots which worked
great.] |
