Begin with one sheet
of AG1069. Remove
the centers from
the inside diamonds;
this is a total
of 8 diamonds
to remove. (In
the sample, the
squares you're
removing reveal
the bright pink
AG1070 paper
and are partly
hidden under
the photo mat. We
have removed
only the six
outside diamonds.)
The easiest way
to do this is
with a craft
knife but it
can also be done
with scissors.
Use the printed design
of the diamond
to make straight
cuts. |
| Layer the sheet of AG1069
onto a sheet of AG1070. You can see that AG1070 shows
up under the center diamonds you removed in Step
1. Remove the centers of the outside diamonds from
the AG1069 paper, cutting through both layers of
paper; this is a total of 10 diamonds. |
Layer the two cut sheets
onto a sheet of AG1074. You can see that AG1074 shows
up under the outside diamonds. |
| To make photo mat, cut
a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece of AG1070. Layer
that onto a 5 1/4" x 7 1/4" piece of AG1074.
Layer these onto a 5 1/2" x 7 1/2" piece
of AG1069. Attach mat to the page. |
Use foam adhesive to
apply the section of the garland to the page below
the photo mat. |

For photo mats, cut two,
4 1/4" x 6 1/4" pieces of AG1074 and two,
4 3/4" x 6 3/4" pieces of AG1070. Layer
the smaller pieces onto the larger ones. |
| Position these mats
on the page as desired. Use a pencil to mark where
the corners of the mats intersect with the diagonal
lines of AG1069. |
Remove the mats and
use a craft knife or scissors to make slits along
the diagonals so you can slip the mats under these
lines. |
Adhere the mats in place,
inserting the corners under the diagonal bands. |
| For journaling blocks,
cut two, 2 1/4" x 3 1/4" pieces of ivory
cardstock and two, 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" pieces
of AG1074. |
Layer the smaller pieces
onto the larger ones. Adhere blocks to the page. |
Use foam adhesive
to apply the
section of the garland to the page between the photo
mats. |

Cut a 5" x 7" piece
of AG1069. Cut a 4 3/4" x 6 3/4" piece
of AG1070 and layer it onto AG1069. Cut a 4 1/2" x
6 1/2" piece of ivory cardstock and layer it
onto AG1070. |
| Cut two, 5" x 8" pieces
of AG1074. Adhere these pieces together on their
shorter side so that they make a 5" x 14" piece
of AG1074. On each of the shorter ends, measure and
mark 1 3/4" in from each side. Fold the paper
around the body of the card made in Step One, so
that the ends meet in the center front of the card. |
| Remove the AG1074 from
the card and cut from the top and bottom edges of
each fold to the marks you made previously. Replace
the wrapper on the card, adhering it to the back
of the card. |
| Cut two, 1 1/2" x
8" pieces of AG1069. Cut two, 1/2" x 8" pieces
of AG1070. Center and adhere these on top of the
AG1069 pieces. Adhere these layered pieces together
on their shorter side so they make a single 1 1/2" x
15" piece. Wrap this strip around the card so
it fastens in the back of the card. |
| Use foam adhesive to
apply the section of the garland to the card along
the band. |
