to your heart for years to come. The clever zig-zag
style pocket will not only hold photo mats but they
are a wonderful way to keep treasured Valentine’s
you receive this year.

Class #422 A Pocket For
Your Valentine’s!
Step 1
Cut a 3 1/2" wide strip from
the bottom of sheet AG1078, including the Anna Griffin
bar code, and another from the top of the sheet.
Set the center section aside for the card. On both
3 1/2" wide strips cut along the lines and circles
in the pattern to make the zig zag edge. (Pattern
included)
Step 2
To make the pocket,
cut a 12" x 4" strip
of AG1079. Cut a 12" x 1" strip AG1070.
Adhere 1/2" behind the lower edge of strip.
Cut edge with decorative scissors.
Score
one 3 1/2" strip the length of the strip in
the center of
the circles about
2" from the
zig zag edge. [or
1 7/16" from the straight edge] Fold back.
Adhere
along fold to the inside top of pocket, folding the
zig zag edge to the front. Adhere each “point” with
a pop dot.
Place
ribbon corsage
in center. Adhere
to page [AG1080]
just up from the bottom
edge on three
sides to make
the pocket.
Step 3
For the top border on the page,
score the second zig zag strip about 2 1/4" from
the cut edge along the top edge of the circles.
Fold back.
Adhere to
the top edge of the page, folding border to the front
and adhere.
Step 4
Photo mats: Cut two
3 3/4" x 5 3/4" pieces ivory cardstock
from the 12" x 12" sheet. Center and adhere
to two 4" x 6" pieces AG1070. Center and
adhere to two 4 1/2" x 6 1/4" pieces AG1079.
Place in
pocket.
Done!

Step 1
Cut a 12" x 1" strip of
AG1080. Center and adhere to a 12" x 2" strip
AG1070.
Cut along both edges
with decorative scissors to make a 1 1/2" wide
strip.
Adhere to the background
sheet AG1079, 1 3/4" from the bottom of the
page.
Step 2
Cut away the inside of the second
AG1078 sheet
by cutting
along the
lines and
circles as
in the sample.
Keep the
center cutout
as intact
as possible.
Adhere the
cut out frame
to the background
sheet, aligning
all edges.
[sides with
two triangles
on the right
and left,
and sides
with three
triangles
on the top
and bottom]
Step 3
Photo mats: Cut two
3 1/2" x 5 1/2" pieces ivory cardstock.
Center and adhere to two 3 3/4" x 5 3/4" pieces
AG1070. Center and adhere to two 4" x 6" pieces
of AG1080. Adhere to page.
Step 4
Cut out the diamond shape around the lines and
circles from the center piece from cut out frame.
Adhere to page with pop dots.
Add embroidered tag.
Done!

Class #422 A Pocket
For Your Valentine’s!
Step 1
Cut the 8 1/2" x
11" ivory cardstock and AG1080 to 10" x
7".
Score and
fold in half
to make a 5" x 7" card.
Adhere together.
Step 2
Cut a 1 3/4" x 7" strip
AG1079. Cut two 1/2" x 7" strips AG1070.
Adhere along the edges of the 1 3/4" strip with
just a little pink showing. Adhere vertically to
center of card.
Step 3
Cut a diamond shape along the lines
and circles from
the AG1078 piece set aside from pocket page.
Center and adhere to card with pop
dots. Add embroidered
tag to center with
pop dots. [I choose to add the embroidered
tag last. Whichever is fine.]
Step 4
Cut four small sections of lines
from the scraps of AG1078.
Adhere under each circle of the diamond,
extending out
to the edges
of the card.
Trim ends to
size.
[Add embroidered tag
to center with pop
dots. I thought the tag was a little flimsy for
pop dots.]
