Introducing
Amy Lynn Wright
|
 I've
loved scrapbooking
all my life; at least
as far back as I
remember. In high
school I made my
first scrapbook,
one I used to hold
all my memorabilia.
It wasn't until I
got married, 7 years
after high school,
that I made my first
photo scrapbook.
Someone gave me a
wedding album as
a wedding gift. I
wasn't sure where
to begin but once
I started I couldn't
stop. I covered the
scrapbook from front
to back with photos,
journaling, memorabilia,
and stickers, of
course. That was
6 years ago this
month and my scrapbooking
style has changed
along the way. I've
taught scrapbooking
classes and written
many scrapbooking
tutorials to assists
both the novice and
advanced. I like
to try new techniques
and medium but I
find that simple
pages keep the memories
in focus. I am currently
working on my daughter's
baby scrapbook album.
She is 7 months old
and beautiful, thus
the perfect subject
for scrapbook pages.
I also have a darling
3 year old son who
adorns several scrapbooks
already. My husband
Rick, while not a
scrap booker himself,
understands my need
for adhesive, die
cuts, and printed
paper. He also helps
with my grammar,
usually after the
fact. We live in
Harvest, Alabama,
near my husband's
family which is too
far away from Maw-Maw
and Paw-Paw who live
in Ohio on OakLeaf

Hello
fellow paper
crafting friends,
My name is Amy and I am a stay-at-home mama to two
beautiful children.
My son just went
off to Kindergarten
this year and
my daughter is
in pre-school.
I am married
to a wonderful
man, Roy, and
he is so supportive
of my "scrapping
habit" and
all the clutter
that goes along
with it. I also
have a great
family that love
to look at my
scrapbooks and
are always encouraging
me with their
kind words. They
especially love
all the little
scrapbooks that
I have created
for them.
I am a self proclaimed scrapbook idea book junkie.
I love paper
and am constantly
in search of
new paper designs
and themes. I
love the collection
of papers here
at OakLeaf Acre
and am thrilled
to be designing
layouts and cards
with these beautiful
and unique papers.
I love everything
about this great
hobby: the wonderful
friends I have
made, documenting
my life and the
lives of my family,
(especially my
children), and
collecting all
the fun embellishments,
paper, fonts,
stamps, and other
supplies that
make this hobby
so cool.
When not scrapbooking, you can find me at home with
my kiddos, volunteering
in my church
at our preschool
or helping in
my son's
kindergarten
classroom. I
was a kindergarten
teacher in my
life before kids
and am excited
to be back helping
out in my own
children's
classrooms. I
love shopping
and hanging out
with my girlfriends.
I also love my
other job, where
I teach classes
at a local scrapbook
store.
