| The following marks will create “points” that
you will be crisscrossing
the ribbons at to make the “X” pattern
of the memo board. |
|
Measure
5 1/4" from the left hand side of the board along
top of the page. Make pencil mark. |
 |
Measure 5 1/4" from the left hand
side of the board along the bottom of the page. Make
pencil mark. |
 |
Measure 5 1/2" down from the top left
hand corner of the board. Make pencil mark. |
 |
Measure 5 1/2" down the covered board
from the 5 1/4" mark you made on the top of the board
so you have a mark in almost the middle of the covered
board |
 |
Cut ribbon into eight,
9" pieces. [The ribbon piece I had in my kit
was not quite
enough to cut
the pieces 9"
long. You might want to just fold your ribbon
into eight equal
lengths and cut.] |
 |
 |
Take 1st ribbon; lay it diagonally
from the top 5 1/4" mark on the top of the page to
the 5 1/4" mark on the left side of the page. Take
2nd ribbon; lay it diagonally from the 5 1/4" mark
on the left side of the page down to the 5 1/4" mark
on the bottom of the page. (You just made a sideways
V). |
 |
 |
Crisscross the 3rd & 4th ribbons from
the top left
hand corner to
the middle mark
and the bottom
right [This should
be the bottom
left.] hand corner
to the middle
mark – so
you end up with 2 “X’s”. |
 |
 |
 |
| Adhere the ends of the ribbons to
back of the chipboard or where necessary. |
Poke a small hole in the center of
each
“X”– make sure it goes through the ribbon and the chipboard so
you can insert the 2 brads. |
Use the rest of the ribbon to finish
making the “X’s” across the rest of the memo board.
No more brads will be inserted. |
